Born a Army Brat, Yellow's music blends hip-hop, trap, psychedelic, and pop, reflecting her diverse influences. Raised on her father's Southern rap and her mother's soulful Anita Baker songs, she faced a pivotal moment when her father was incarcerated, leading her to family in Atlanta. There, her older cousin introduced her to non-rap genres and 80s music. After interning with Generation Now, Yellow developed a keen understanding of the music business. Known for her clean lyrics, she serves as a motivating voice for listeners, encouraging them to rise above past adversities.
