VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center is dedicated to discovering, developing, delivering and teaching effective means to prevent, treat and, ultimately, cure cancer.

The mission of VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center is to serve as a comprehensive center of excellence in cancer research, prevention and control, patient care, and education. The center's guiding principles are to make important discoveries about cancer and to translate these discoveries rapidly into better prevention, detection, treatment, and control of cancer to enhance the quality of life of all individuals affected by cancer.

VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of 73 National Cancer Institute-designated institutions and one of the two NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in Virginia. The Center conducts basic, translational, clinical and cancer care delivery research; provides state-of-the-art treatments and clinical trials; and promotes cancer prevention and education.
