no recess was established in the mid-2000's to showcase and support some of the best alternative, underground or independent artists.

our aim is to shine light on new, emerging or exciting artists and love hearing from new people. we are open to demo submissions, and although we don't post everything that gets submitted, if you're in a band please feel free to send your new music and videos through via the submission link and we'll have a listen.
