Bangladeshi cuisine is greatly influenced by the landscapes and therefore by the bounty of its land, rivers and sea. Besides, its cuisine is heavily moulded on Dhaka’s historical trade routes and therefore the many civilisations that ruled the land. As an eminently rural and agricultural country, foods are seasonal and hooked in to what grows where. The coastal areas are depended on fish while the highlands are depended on meat and vegetables. However, across the country variations in food are small. Foods in Bangladesh are usually spicy where several different masalas are being used. Bangladeshi cooking differs with Indian food in terms of the combination of spices and tastes as well.

In our channel we aim to bring forward authentic Bangladeshi food from all varieties – from home, restaurant and street food. Also, from occasion to everyday cooking.
